Let’s Take Down the Single Stigma!

BrideWarsA new study came out today from Live Science saying that while more and more women are staying single or waiting to marry these days, the stigma against “spinsters” hasn’t lessened.

This is no surprise to single women. It’s a major reason Kerry David and I wanted to make Seeking Happily Ever After, a feature-length doc about why there are more single 30-something women today than ever and whether women are redefining happily ever after. We wanted to give women the chance to share their stories and open an overdue discussion about what it means to be single today.

I’m hoping you might support our doc if this is something you care about. We just got into our first film festival, the California Arts Independent Film Festival, and we’re currently trying to raise $15K to take our doc to festivals around the U.S. We’re using a cool new platform that offers rewards to donors. It’s called “Kickstarter”, and you can also watch our trailer. http://kck.st/bV022F

I would be grateful if you could help spread the word by posting our link on your Facebook status, tweeting, or just emailing select friends. Let’s get the conversation started…and take down the stigma once and for all!
