On Flexible Summer Work Schedules

Thanks to CCH Human Resource Management NetNews, a Wolters Kluwer publication, for tipping us off to a new survey from OfficeTeam, a staffing service specializing in the placement of administrative professionals.

Using an independent research firm, OfficeTeam polled workers employed in an office environment, asking them, “Which of the following summer benefits would you most like to have?”

The choices were flexible schedules; leave early on Fridays; activities (e.g, company picnic, potluck); more relaxed dress code; other; and don’t know/no answer.

Perhaps not surprising, flexible schedules earned the top spot, with 38 percent of survey respondents naming it as the summer benefit of choice. Another 32 percent of workers chose leave early on Fridays.

Well, thanks to SingleMindedWomen.com and FlexJobs, you may be able to enjoy a flexible schedule and leave early on Fridays–and not only in the summer.

Have you considered a flexible work arrangement?
