PYT’s Need TLC
I’m the kind of person who thrives on stress. Unfortunately, that means that I have-you guessed it-lots of stress. And since this week’s Your Looks feature, Guilty Pleasure Beauty, is all about eliminating (or least chipping away at) the stress in our lives through some major beauty pampering, I thought I’d share some of my personal favorites. I love drugstore beauty brands as much as the next person, but I’ve also learned that splurging on the products I absolutely adore makes a huge impact on my mood. That’s why my tub is stocked with Frederic Fekkai hair products (the best in my book at combating dry, thirsty locks), Red Flower’s fragrant shower gel (I like to try out new scents, like Italian Blood Orange and Gardenia), a chunky Claus Porto soap, and Bliss Magnolia Body Polish, which smells terrific. If I’m in a jam, I’ll reach for the basic stuff you can find in the local grocery store, but it’s just not the same. It’s the difference between grooming and pampering, and I find the latter to be infinitely more relaxing.
