Sex & the Single Woman: Can I Buy You a Drink?

I was out last weekend and I ran into a guy who had a class with me my junior year of college. I was buying drinks for myself and a guy friend, and the guy from my class offered to pay for them. I turned him down because I felt bad having him pay for a drink for another guy, but he insisted.

So…. where does this fall in the hierarchy of bar ethics?

What do you do when a guy tries to buy a drink for you and another guy? Is there a tactful way to turn him down? Or do you accept and hope that he doesn’t realize what’s going on?

I talk all of the time about being approachable, but this situation is not at all what I expected.
