This guy I dated for quite some time (read: more than six years) gave me white tube socks and deodorant for Christmas. His reasoning: “You buy everything you want yourself, so I wanted to get you something useful.You wear socks and use deodorant every day.”

Deodorant and tube socks?! What did he give you for Valentine’s Day? You gotta wonder if the guy is just insensitive or just lazy. One year my ex gave me a dustbuster for my birthday. We divorced the following year!
