At 28, I divorced my first husband,
In my 30s, I was married to husband #2 and longing for the children that I wanted and he didn't.
At 40, I was single for the first time in 14 years and loving it!
At 42, I finally found an amazing guy who treats me like a queen, loves me for who I am, and wants a family as much as I do.

I would have to say that having lived through my 20s and 30s, my 40s are SO MUCH MORE FUN! So from my perspective, 28 was nothing compared to 42.

And I'm still working on creating the family of my dreams -- and although I have fewer and fewer fertile years left, I'm stressing about it a lot less than at 28.

So, I'd say those researchers have got it wrong. Look forward to each new decade as it comes along and you'll always find the year you are in to be the happiest you've ever been.

I think that without the media's pressure, a woman could be very happy at 30. But thanks to pressure to have kids, etc. being happy is nearly impossible.
