Sex & the Single Woman: Love Actually IS All Around
While many people find comfort in watching such Christmas classics as “Frosty the Snowman” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” I have to admit that in recent years I new movie has crept on to my seasonal list.
Although “Love Actually” addresses the holidays in the modern world, focusing on how our relationships fluctuate during this time of the year. For a romantic comedy, however, I find that a lot of the story lines are very realistic–not everyone gets what they want in the end.
This movie has made me look at the relationships going on in my own life. They all seem to be intertwined in some way, which I think is pretty cool. I also love how the holiday season is a catalyst for relationships to change in both good ways and bad.
Ultimately, this movie serves to remind me that love is found in the most unexpected of places at the most unexpected of times. Who am I to question it?
