Sex & the Single Woman: Making Room for a Relationship
With the holiday season picking up, it seems that my already hectic schedule is only getting busier. This calls to mind a common defense that single women use for their relationship status: I’m simply too busy for a boyfriend.
I fully support women who do not need men to find happiness. In fact, I think that if you are not happy with yourself, then a man cannot fix this for you. But I don’t know how I feel about women who are too busy that they do not have time to make themselves available.
Yes, relationships take time and effort. If they didn’t, there would be no point to them. But what is the point in having a successful career and plenty of opportunities if you don’t have someone to share them with?
Ladies, take advantage of the holiday season to step back and look at the priorities in your life. Don’t sacrifice your career, but make sure there is some space to let someone in to your life. You deserve it.
