Sex & the Single Woman: Not This Year
One of the biggest superstitions about New Year’s is that what you are doing and midnight–and who you are with–will set the precedent for the 365 days to come.
Normally I indulge in a little bit of superstition, but this is one I’m going to have to pass on. I’ll be spending this New Year’s Eve working, and while I hope that a job is in my future, I certainly won’t be spending it with a certain someone.
This has happened for the past couple of years, and while it’s not my first choice for celebration plans, it’s what I have chosen to do. Maybe this explains why none of my relationships have worked out? Probably not.
Nevertheless, I am choosing to be optimistic about my New Year’s plans. If the superstition is true, than maybe being happy and content with my life at midnight will bode well for what is to come.
What about you–what are your plans for New Year’s Eve?
