Sex & the Single Woman: This Magic Moment
Like many girls, I grew up with a fairy tale-esque image of what true love truly is. I expected my prince would sweep me off my feet by means of some grand display of affection. To me, romance was expressed in grand gestures that were never to be forgotten.
Now that I am older, I am admittedly slightly less disillusioned. I understand that love is sometimes quieter than that and that romantic gestures don’t always come from those we are dating.
I have come to realize that these special moments are an expression of love, not of drama or out of need for attention. They come from friends and those who love us more than we ever know. Even an act so simple as a much needed hug can convey the kind of emotions that words sometimes cannot.
