I too am a big believer in fate, or at least timing!! My mom once told me when I was about 19 years old, "90% of compatibility in a relationship is timing." If only I would've taken her word for that sooner. It's so hard when you are in love with a great man who just isn't ready or vice versa. But you have to trust and take the other persons "word for it" if they say the timing isn't right! Or they aren't ready, etc. I could've saved myself years of heartache had I listened up the first time as you suggest and moved on!
