Sex & the Single Woman: What Now?
So I met The Perfect Guy. He is my 10 of 10s, everything on The Checklist.
I was floored.
We hit it off and the more we talked, the more I thought, “Oh, my (insert deity here).” Everything he said I related to, and everything I said he agreed with. The best part is that he seemed to want to get to know me in a way that no guy has ever tried before.
I repeat, FLOORED.
At this point I should be announcing our happy engagement, but sadly it wasn’t meant to be. Ugly details aside, after our initial meeting (and three hour lunch the next day) he seemed utterly apathetic toward my presence.
The point of all this is that I am wondering what happens after you meet the guy who meets every qualification (and more) and yet he fails? Where do you go from there?

First, I think it takes more than two meetings to tell whether he is the right guy for you. Second, he just failed to connect with you and that’s all. You don’t know what’s going on in his life right now, maybe he is getting over somebody…
If he appeared to connect so well with you and be interested in everything you said, but then 2 days later, nada. Well, I think he was just lying. And therefore, NOT the guy for you!
I wouldn’t go so far as to say that he was lying. I agree with EvaNel, it takes more than 2 meetings to know if someone is right for you. On top of that, a 3 hour lunch is a long lunch. Maybe it went a little longer than it should have and it was just too much of a good thing.
