The Cougar Phenomenon
Ladies, ever thought about dating a younger man or are you already dipping your toes in a “younger “dating pool? Then join us tomorrow night on SingleMindedWomen.com blog talk radio when SMW host Rachelle Chase will interview Valerie Gibson; author, radio, and television personality on her new book, COUGAR: A GUIDE FOR OLDER WOMEN DATING YOUNGER MEN.
Brave enough to share your experiences dating young men? We’d love to hear from you. Call in to talk to Valerie or ask a question during the show at 914-338-1419. You can also email Rachelle a question prior to the show at: SMWRachelle@gmail.com. You might even inspire another single woman to take the plunge. Remember, love comes in all shapes, sizes, and ages.
By the way, if you haven’t checked out the single moms channel on SingleMindedWomen.com lately, you may want to. One of our favorite contributors, Jessica Pegis, wrote a very helpful article on what to do when you can’t stand your child’s BFF! I’m in that position right now. But, what makes it worse is that I can’t stand her parents either! You know the kind, the ones that are oblivious to their child’s bad behavior in school and out. I can already see a part 2 to this article. If you are in the same situation, let us know how you are handling it. Post a response in our forum and we’ll share it in next week’s blog.
I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank those have contributed to the Matt Logelin Family Gift Registry benefiting the My Stuff Bags Foundation. So far, 79 contributions have been made to the foundation through the gift registry. Those contributions are especially important this year and will go a long way to comforting a number of abandoned and abused children around the country.
Alright ladies, one big, eating holiday down and a few more to go! If you’re like me, this is the time of year when you give yourself permission to overindulge, with the promise you’ll get right back on track starting January 1st.
Well, this year I did something different. A few days before Thanksgiving I read Martin Brown’s article: Stop Overindulging During the Holidays. His tips worked! My pre-Thanksgiving weight was the same as my post. So, check it out and see if it helps you during the slew of holiday parties this year.
In the meantime, be good to yourself during these challenging times and take a few minutes each day to relax. Even if it means locking yourself in the bathroom for 10 minutes to just sit quietly with your eyes closed. Breathe deep, and remember, this too shall pass.
Have a wonderful week!
