The Pink Door

Dear SMW Visitors,

I am delighted to announce that is supporting the Pink Door! This wonderful non profit organization provides assistance to all single, divorced, or widowed women cancer survivors with new job opportunities…a new career after cancer!

Back in February, SMW Health editor, Tracy Morris profiled Courtney Cole, the founder, of the Pink Door in an article for our site. If you haven’t read this inspiring piece, I encourage you to do so. Courtney shares her mother’s courageous battle with breast cancer and her desire to help other single women regain control of their career after battling their way back to health.

Said Courtney, “…I realized it’s time to make a difference in women’s lives that are single, divorced, or widowed that have had cancer and must support themselves. Pink Door was then created embracing this concept, and giving women a new beginning. Like my mother, women should not have to focus on “affording recovery.” Instead, Pink Door now provides a way for single, divorced, or widowed women cancer survivors to “open a door to a whole new life” by offering a variety of services to benefit women in their lives after cancer”.

If you live in L.A. or will be visiting the L.A. area on May 3rd., please join the Pink Door in celebrating their L.A. kick off event at the Cabana Club in Hollywood, CA. The party starts at 7:30 pm and door tickets (donations) are $15/person and only $10/person if you register online. The Frankie Moreno Band will provide the entertainment for a fun filled evening that benefits a wonderful cause. For more information on the event or how you can support this charity, please visit the Pink Door.
