Nothing says lovin’ like a cocktail on the beach. The Ocean Key Resort & Spa in Key West entertains guests nightly with “post-Sunset” music featuring Key West singer/songwriter Scott Kirby and guitarist Dave Edmisten.
A stay on Key West is one of our favorite girlfriend getaways, but if you can’t get to Key West, sit back and relax with the Ocean Key Resort’s famous cocktails.
Cocktail Recipe from Sunset Pier
The resorts top mixologist Al Nelson suggests this to get Cupid in the mood for Valentine’s Day:
Cayo al Corazón (Key to the Heart)
In a pint glass filled with ice, add the following:
¾ oz Mount Gay Rum (or your favorite gold rum)
½ oz Peach Schnapps
½ of Malibu Coconut Rum
1 oz of Orange Juice
¾ oz Pineapple Juice
¾ oz Cranberry Juice
A dash of Angostura Bitters
Shake well until very cold and then strain into a highball or Double Collins glass filled with ice. Top with a splash of great champagne like Veuve Clicquot and garnish with cherry.
