Cream Cheese Pound Cake RecipeCream Cheese Pound Cake Recipe

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk

Makes: About 5 cups of batter.

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Grease and flour pan or spray with vegetable pan spray with flour.
  3. In bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  4. In large bowl, beat butter, cream cheese and sugar with electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
  5. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each. Add vanilla, mix well. Add flour mixture to butter mixture alternately with milk, starting and ending with dry.
  6. Spoon into prepared pan.
  7. Refer to the Baking Instructions for baking times and temperatures for specific pans.
  8. Cool cake in pan about 15 minutes. Remove from pan; cool completely
