By Fabiana Santana
Whether you’re getting ready to tie the knot or spending the night with your besties toasting to the single life, Valentine’s Day calls for a drink! We’ve got the perfect cocktail creations to celebrate the ultimate night of love. You don’t have to be a mixologist or own fancy shakers and strainers for these, either. With some of your fave liquor store finds like SVEDKA, Grand Marnier, and Van Gogh Vodka, and a few grocery store hits like NUMI tea, coconut water and good old cola, you’ve got yourself fun – and love – in a glass!
Ultimate Chocolate Martini
2 oz Pinnacle chocolate whipped cream vodka
2 oz chocolate milk
Crushed chocolate cookies or chocolate chips to garnish the glass
Crush cookies or chips by placing in a plastic bag and crushing with a wine bottle. Pour into a small dish or saucer and set aside. Mix the chocolate milk and vodka in an ice-filled shaker and shake well. Pour chocolate syrup into a martini glass in a decorative fashion (that means make sure you pour onto the sides of the glass in addition to the bottom), spinning back and forth until your happy with the look. Using your finger, smear a healthy portion of chocolate syrup around the rim of the glass. Dip the rim of the glass into your crushed chocolate. Strain your iced cocktail into the glass and serve. This is great as is, but you can garnish with chocolate strawberries, more chocolate chips or a chocolate kiss for a bit more indulgence.
