I've hosted three wonderful au pairs and have suggested this childcare option to a number of friends. I found the approximately $7/hour, flexible 45 hours per week, and the option of 10 hours per day to be by far the best option available to my family. We went through AuPairCare because their local reps provide fantastic support and their infant specialized training placated my worries regarding our now 2 year old daughter. Definitely research all your options but I highly recommend AuPairCare. The number I used for them was (800) 428-7247. Good luck!
