Holiday Hook Ups: Do They Make You a ‘Ho ‘Ho ‘Ho?
By Josie Brown
No contest. Sometime during this holiday season, you’ll be tempted to do something that will make you blush–and stammer and moan.
At least, that’s according to a recent poll by Wet, a manufacturer of intimacy products.
Here’s hoping it’s not on your company’s conference room table… during the office Christmas party.
Then again, odds are it will be. In the Wet poll, 29 percent of respondents admitted to have hooked up with a co-worker at their company’s holiday party.
And if the poll’s other statistics hold true, 57 percent of you won’t be able to resist the temptation to sneak away at a holiday gathering for a quickie. What’s more, 33 percent of us are more likely to have a one night stand on New Year’s Eve than any other night.
What’s in your stocking? Considering that 65 percent of the poll’s respondents have given sex as a holiday present, here’s hoping it’s a box of condoms.
So, what is it about the holidays that makes us so randy?
Blame all those candy canes. Sugar, which converts into glucose, raises your blood sugar level, and gives you an energy spike.
I guess we can figure out what many of us are doing with it.
Being romanced kicks up a woman’s oxytocin level, which alleviates depression.
Sex stimulates surges in men’s testosterone levels, too.
Then again, no one wants the rep as the office skank. Once the holiday’s are over, the best way to reserve your dignity is to hold onto anything that might give your mistletoe misgivings away: say, your panties, any candid photos or photocopy machine gymnastics.
Oh yeah: and don’t forget to erase the security tapes.

“Hollywood’s got nothing on the cast of characters living in the bedroom community of Paradise Heights, who have the secrets, sex, money and scandal of an OK! Magazine cover story. Josie Brown is a skilled observer whose clever dialogue and feisty style make for truly entertaining reading.” –Jackie Collins, Hollywood Wives
