Fashion & Beauty Advice: Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow
By Maggie Malach
Each season we adjust our wardrobes to fit certain styles and trends. Ladies, your hair is no different. Tired of feeling the weight of the world (and the weight of my long hair), I decided to take the plunge and cut it all off. Whether or not you are willing to go that far, here are some winter-ready hairstyles.
Nicole Richie’s cut is a great mid-length style. It’s short enough to let your hair move, but short enough to draw attention to your face. It’s angled forward as to sweep along your jawline, but also to help the cut grow out without looking awkward. It also fits into a ponytail perfect for the gym!
A lot of celebrities, like Keira Knightley, are chopping off their locks in favor of this wavy bob. A throwback to the 20s, this haircut is both versatile and easy to style. Straighten is for a sleeker look, or add some volumizing mousse for a rumpled, bedhead style.
For those ladies who prefer to keep their hair long, try Jennifer Aniston’s effortless style. Rather than straightening her locks, she lets their natural wave take over. Enhance this look with a wide-barreled curling iron, or go boho by braiding back your bangs.
No matter which way you cut it, changing up your hair is always a great way to change up your look. Don’t be afraid to try something new– after all, fashion is all about taking chances!
