Fashion & Beauty Advice: The Latest in Makeup Trends

Makeup artist Christopher Drummond has already shown us single ladies the latest in eco-friendly beauty products. Now he offers advice on how to apply cosmetics to achieve the latest in makeup trends.

“Bare” skin.   Heavy foundation is out.  It’s all about having healthy-looking, luminous skin.

Fun colors.  But don’t over do it.  Use light colors like violet, pink and saffron lightly on the eyes to brighten them.

Shimmery color.  Anyone can wear shimmer.  It’s all about using a quality product.  Cheap shimmer looks chunky and like glitter. A high- quality shadow will have shimmer that “melts” into the skin and looks radiant, not glittery.

When applying eyeshadow, use a large amount of setting powder under the eye.  This will catch any excesss hadow, and it then instantly wipes off, and you don’t have to reapply your concealer.
