You get to know a guy's musical taste and how laid back or uptight he is. I once had a first, blind date where I asked the guy if he wanted to go to a Violent Femmes concert. He said yes, which I thought was great. But, it turns out he had never heard of the Violent Femmes (who are an aquired taste) and hated the music. There was no second date! I also think that concerts are a great first date. You get to know a guy’s musical taste and how laid back or uptight he is.
