Girl Power Glam: Fashion & Beauty Picks Working to Empower Women

rosietheriveterSisters are doing it for themselves! In addition to the worthy products supporting breast cancer research we highlighted earlier this month, other style gurus are throwing their support behind a number of pro-female causes.

“Lipstick Queen” Poppy King has partnered with Count Me In for Women’s Economic Independence to create the FIRED UP lip gloss, a sexy sheer red designed to “fuel the fires” of women who are working towards fabulous careers and financial success. 100 percent of the proceeds from the gloss, which is available at for $14, will benefit Count Me In, which creates a network of support and education for female entrepreneurs.

Don’t forget your accessories! Luggage and accessories label Vera Bradley is also using its power to help women in need. The company has just announced that $10,000 from the sales of its new, eco-friendly Market Tote—on sale now through November 2nd—will go to The Hunger Project.
