Three Fabulous Drugstore Mascaras

By SMW Style Staff

SMW’s Beauty Product Patrol road tested three drugstore mascaras that are every bit as good as the expensive designer mascaras, but for a fraction of the cost. If you’re a single women living on a budget, check out your local drugstore first before spending the big bucks on your lashes.

lashblastFirst up, CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Blasting Mascara, $7. Ask any gal pal and chances are they used CoverGirl mascara at one time or another. But if you haven’t seen their latest line of LashBlast mascaras, your missing out. LashBlast’s volume-boosting formula and brush are designed to max-out each and every lash, leaving you with the ultimate big lash look. We especially like the fact that this mascara didn’t clump.

L’Oreal Extra-Volume Collagen Hydra-Collagen Plumping Mascara, $8. You’ll love this mascara if you want the look of fake lashes without the hassle of trying to perfectly align them to your lids. This mascara is made with hydra-collagen and is designed to make your lashes look thicker and longer, which they do after several coats. The bigger brush is also a plus, especially when it comes to reaching those little lashes in the corners.

Maybelline Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara, $12. Okay, so this mascara is a bit more expensive than the other two but it does vibrate afterall! If you have a problem with clumping it may be the way you are applying your mascara. The Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara is designed specially to reduce clumping by separating and lengthening the lashes with each stroke.
